✈️ Our Barn Community – Jack Petchey Educational Trip to Brooklands Museum

Our Jack Petchey Educational Trip was an outstanding success!

We set off from Brentford Station to Weybridge at exactly 10:24am, right on schedule. The train ride was awesome — full of laughter, catching up with friends, and taking in new sights along the way.

From Weybridge, we took a long walk to Brooklands, saving a few pounds and enjoying the great weather. The young people led the way, full of energy and excitement, passing Mercedes World as we went.

Once we arrived, we met up with the rest of our group so that everyone could start together. Our first stop? The café and toilets — a well-earned rest after our walk! Refreshed and recharged, we were ready to explore everything the museum had to offer.

The Brooklands Museum was like stepping back in time — when flights were supersonic and buses were built to last. We split into smaller groups to focus on our own interests and make the most of the day.

Everyone got involved — exploring exhibitions, setting new records on the Formula 1 simulators, boarding cargo planes, and taking lots of fun photos. By the end of the day, most of us had clocked up around 15,000 steps each!

We took a quicker route back to the station and said goodbye to our independent travellers along the way. It was truly a quality educational trip — filled with teamwork, learning, and fun.

Our Barn Community gives thanks and praise to everyone at Brooklands Museum for making us feel so welcome. A huge thank you as well to our staff team & support workers who were fantastic — encouraging everyone and keeping the day running smoothly.

The Jack Petchey Educational Trip could not have gone better. From start to finish, it was team bonding, fun, challenging, and hands-on learning all rolled into one.

Thank you, Jack Petchey Foundation, for helping to make this unforgettable experience possible!
