If you Think You Can, You Can!

Our Barn Community Celebrates Honourees at the 2025 Hounslow Jack Petchey Foundation Awards

Our Barn Community members were delighted and honoured to take part in the Hounslow Jack Petchey Foundation Awards 2025, held at Cineworld Hounslow. The evening recognised and celebrated outstanding young people from local schools, clubs, and community organisations.

Representing Our Barn Community were Mitchell, Joyrich & Thomas, each on their own remarkable journeys of personal development. Their commitment to inspiring others, staying motivated, and striving for achievement reflects the very values celebrated by the Jack Petchey Foundation. Through their involvement with Our Barn Community and their dedication to their families, friends, and wider networks, these young adults continue to make a meaningful and positive impact.

The Foundation’s motto, “If you think you can, you can,” was brought to life through the energy and achievements of all the award winners present. We were proud to stand alongside so many exceptional young people contributing to our shared community.

Distinguished guests included Ms Rosi Prescott DL, Deputy Lieutenant for Hounslow; Councillor Junue Meah, Deputy Mayor of Hounslow; and Councillor Samia Chaudhary, Portfolio Holder for Education, Children, Skills & Employment. Our host for the evening, Joe Rowntree, kept spirits high with his humour and warmth, setting the tone for a smooth and inspiring event.

We were honoured to be in the company of other outstanding organisations, including Heathlands School, Rianna Development Network, Reach Academy, Woodbridge Park Education Service, Chiswick School, The Green School for Girls, Bolder Academy, and Gumley House RC Convent School. Together, we celebrated stories of resilience, teamwork, determination, and kindness—qualities that show what makes Hounslow’s youth truly exceptional.

The evening closed with heartfelt remarks from Barbara Owusu, Grants Officer, whose words left a lasting impression on all attendees. As we stepped back into the cold evening air, we did so with warm hearts, inspired by a sense of belonging and a renewed pride in our community.

Our Barn Community extends its sincere thanks to the Jack Petchey Foundation, the organisers, and all who contributed to such an uplifting and memorable event. The bar has been set high—and we look forward to continuing our journey as part of this incredible network of dedicated and inspiring individuals.

We loved it!
