A Sun-Soaked Spectacle of Skill, Spirit, and Sport!
The Community Cup 2025 was a day that truly surpassed expectations, becoming the largest and most vibrant event we’ve ever hosted. Under blazing sunshine at the immaculate Gillette Goals pitches, teams arrived eager and ready to compete in a packed day of fixtures. The atmosphere was buzzing, the football electric, and the camaraderie unmatched.
From the first whistle to the final minute, every team attended, showcasing commitment, teamwork, and determination. Our Barn Community staff and volunteers were poised for action — and what a day it turned out to be. With temperatures soaring on the hottest day of the year, it was always going to be challenging.
Football at Its Finest
The football on display was some of the best we’ve seen in the Community Cup. Newcomers such as Junior Bees, Slough Town, Broxbourne Spurs, and Orchard Hill didn’t shy away from the challenge. With reigning champions Pro Touch in their path, they knew nothing less than excellence would do — and they delivered.
Referees went back-to-back all day long, and fixture officials Dev and Andre worked tirelessly under pressure to keep the fixtures flowing and the league tables accurate for the eagerly awaited 1:45 PM finals.
Special Guests & Special Moments
We were honoured to welcome the Mayor of Hounslow, Councillor Karen Croft, who toured the event with Amarpreet and Kelly. She was joined by none other than Buzz, who was greeted warmly by players and fans alike, along with club captain Taj Ranger.
Teams looked sharp in their kits, clearly having prepared with pride for this special occasion.
Awards & Finals
Team Spirit Award – Clarendon Students
The youngest squad in the competition, Clarendon, embodied everything the Community Cup is about: friendliness, enthusiasm, teamwork, and skill both on and off the pitch. They got the brief — and they got the award. Congratulations Clarendon! A truly deserved recognition.
Championship Final – Pro Touch C vs Slough Town C
In a thrilling encounter, Slough Town drew first blood with a stunning goal in the opening minute. An injury to their keeper followed soon after Pro Touch equalised, but he courageously played on — making jaw-dropping saves. The game was end-to-end, with both teams digging deep. Just when it looked destined for penalties, Pro Touch snatched a last-minute winner to lift the Championship silverware.
Premiership Final – Pro Touch A vs Pro Touch B
A club rivalry for the ages! With referee Sarfraz rested, Dev stepped in to officiate what turned out to be a fierce yet respectful final.
PTB nearly scored early, only to be denied by a sensational save from the PTA keeper — a real “cat-like” moment of agility and reflex. The deadlock was broken when PTA pressured the PTB defence into an error and tucked it away. Despite excellent passing and end-to-end football, PTA held their narrow 1-0 lead, even surviving a tense injury-time period.
Quote from the day:
“There were some cracking passes, skills, and goals belted in from all angles — and the matches were played in a spirited, sporting manner. Fantastic to witness.”
🏆 Pro Touch A – Our Barn Community Premiership Champions once again!
Each team involved awarded their individual Community Spirit Player award! Congratulations to all of the players who took home these trophies. You make this tournament the best it can be by embodying TEAM & COMMUNITY. Dev Kanagasundaram donated these trophies.
