Pump & Grind Community Cafe- Trainees

It’s truly inspiring to witness the exceptional productivity and success of the Thursday trainees at the community cafe this week! The creamy mushroom and giant cous cous soup must have been an absolute sensation, evident from its quick sell-out, and the Stir It Up recipe has undoubtedly become a beloved crowd-pleaser.

The team’s expansion into merchandise is nothing short of fantastic. The inclusion of single-source Curious Roo Brazilian whole beans, meticulously crafted Valentine’s Day cards, and charming hand-knitted brooches adds a unique and personal dimension to the cafe experience. All proceeds go to our Charity Our Barn Community No 1181421

The individual efforts of trainees Sarah, Virginia, Hannah, and Sukhraj in baking and serving customer favourites like vegan gluten-free brownies, fruit loaf, and flapjacks in-house is truly commendable. Their culinary prowess not only showcases their skill but also underscores their dedication to providing a delectable array of options for customers.

Adding a delightful twist, Sarah throws down the challenge for visitors to locate the museum cat , Piper, promising treats for successful sleuths.

The quirky community cafe, nestled within the London Museum of Water and Steam, is a testament to the trainees’ hard work and dedication. With its diverse array of homemade treats, the cafe has become a cherished destination for locals and museum-goers alike.
